Today was a travel day, so that meant we had a more relaxed schedule. Breakfast was from 7-8 am as usual, but the morning devotional wasn’t until 9:30. Many of our group skipped breakfast and slept in. I got up as usual. My roommates and I took some group pictures on the beautiful grounds of our hotel.

We got on the road around 10:30, and the plan was to eat our snacks on the bus. The bus ride was long, and hot. We could tell we were getting close to Teguc because the temperature started dropping.

Our bus driver said that this farm produced salt. We passed by the Pacific Ocean. |
This is in Santa Ana which is close to Teguc. It is the windiest place in Honduras. evening devo |
We arrived at the Mission House “Villa Gracias” around 5 pm. The new “Torchers” were impressed by the beauty of the grounds and the rest of us were glad to be back too. We left 100 degrees and came back to a breezy 60!!! We had some to time to rest and relax before dinner. We were glad to eat the good food here because we were burned out with our three choices in Choluteca. (Pizza Hut, Wendys, & KFC)
We had another great devotional and we all enjoyed the great acoustics in the chapel here. Our devos are usually broadcasted each night at 9 pm (10 at home). You can find the link on the www.childrenoftheking.blogspot.com .
There is a tradition here where if you leave something somewhere, you have to sing "I'm a Little Teapot" to get it back!!! |
We have three major work days here before we have one day of rest and fly back home on Monday. It’s back to a normal work day tomorrow.
Until next time! Xoxo PJ
I'm sure you will enjoy your last 3 days! Will be glad when you get home! Love Mom
ReplyDeleteLOVE the post and especially LOVE the top picture of the four roommates. Although, I have to confess I am a little jealous. That fourth person was me last year, and I had such a wonderful experience. So grateful for your blog this year - almost like being there, again. You all are doing such wonderful work. You are such a Blessing to so many!
