Public Enemy #1

Do you have any enemies???  I don't know about you, but I'm a quiet, compliant people-pleaser, so I try my best to not have any enemies.  I'm not necessarily out-going, but I do want people to like me.  I say all of that because I don't have any real enemies that I know of.

Got to love some Johnny Depp!

What about you?  Do you have any enemies?  Is there anyone who wishes you harm?  Maybe your thoughts turn to that person that tormented you in high school.  Or, maybe your thinking about that boss that fired you or that person who made up things about you........

Well, actually there is a worse enemy that we all of have.  There's someone that wants you to fail, to hurt, to feel inadequate, to perish, to suffer! They want you to die!!  They want you to be lost........ETERNALLY!!!!  Now you know what I'm talking about!

The Devil!!!  This picture is kind of cute, but the devil isn't a joke.

Wed., March 9: No, this is not the devil!
Again, I have gotten my inspiration from my wonderful Wednesday night Ladies' Bible class.

Satan is the real enemy.  He's been around since the Garden of Eden.  He first appeared as a serpent, but he evokes fear in most people.

Even Jesus acknowledged Satan's power and his destructive nature in Matthew 6:13:
And lead us not into temptation,  but deliver us from the evil one.  Jesus warns us about Satan's nature in these scriptures:
John 8:44: You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

It's obvious, the devil will tell you whatever lie that he can to try destroy you.  Matthew 10:28:  Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

I'm sure you are saying,  "Patty, I don't worship the devil!  I'm okay."  I know that, but we have to be careful about becoming too confident in ourselves.  I know I repeat this often, but we can't do it on our own, but with God we can!  He will never leave us or forsake us.  With God, all things are possible.

Sometimes we are like the little boy who was cleaned up and ready to go to church.  His mother warned him about staying out of the mud.  Well, he just had to get as close as he could.  You guessed it......................................................

He fell in!!  Sometimes, we get as close as we can to sin, temptation and evil and we hope we don't fall in!!!

I know I just skimmed the surface on this subject.  I welcome any of your thoughts!!!

Update on Buffalo Wild Wings
A little stop on the way to work

Large tree on post

I've almost made it to work. (another dreary day)

Thursday, March 10
(No students tomorrow or Monday!!! We have a work day, conferences as necessary, and training on Monday!  SCORE!)

I'm totally addicted to checking out my blog stats.  I can tell how many page views I get every hour of the day.  I also can see what country these views come from.  It's really neat.  Here is a look!

It didn't show the graph, but here you can see the countries where I have had views.  I have no idea why they ended up on my blog, but it's SO COOL!

Well, it's Thursday night at 11:00.  I haven't stayed up this late in awhile.  I finished up my on-line class tonight and I've worked on this blog.  I guess I have a little extra "pep" in my step because I don't have students tomorrow!!  :0)  Good-night for now!!

Friday, March 11: Today was a work/conference day.  That means that we didn't have students.  It was nice for a change.  Here I am going to 5:30 Zumba.

Update on Buffalo Wild Wings

6:30 Sushi date (Here are the sushi chefs hard at work!)

We were glad to hear that our family in Hawaii is okay.  They were evacuated in the middle of the night.  Please remember to pray for all of those affected by the earthquake and tsunami!

I hope you have a great weekend.  My younger son is home from college for Spring Break.  We planning on visiting my mom in Murray this weekend.  She has moved into her new house.

xoxo PJ
